FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the EVP Sales and Marketing, the Sales and Marketing Specialist is responsible for helping sales teammates through the sales cycle in support of new clients, as well as supporting marketing activities aimed at increasing brand awareness.  The responsibilities will include creating presentations, performing market research on prospects and competitors, preparing reports and assisting in all areas of the marketing program.  The incumbent should be adept at analyzing data using Excel and other similar tools and have a high-degree of creativity and experience with social media platforms and Google Analytics.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and distribute supporting documents and presentations to help the sales team in generating business leads including but not limited to sales decks and pricing presentations
  • Collaborate with senior sales staff to create and maintain sales reports
  • Maintain organized sales records and report key figures (KPIs) to the senior management team
  • Analyze sales statistics to determine the performances of different products and salespeople
  • Support sales in managing their pipeline to ensure timely and accurate forecasting.
  • Keep up to date with developments, trends, and advancements related to sales and marketing
  • Coordinate and attend conferences and tradeshows as necessary
  • Create quality interactive or reading marketing materials to best represent a company 
  • Design and develop new marketing campaign concepts
  • Writing, editing, and uploading engaging content to various digital/online platforms
  • Analyzing online traffic and conversion rates and noting focus areas for future optimization
  • Ordering new materials for the sales staff, as needed
  • Take on Special Projects as assigned by management 
  • Performs other related duties

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field.
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain and/or sales is an asset
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, CRM software and marketing tools/software
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Detail-oriented and persuasive.
