Functional Summary

This role will be responsible for promoting and selling our Trucking (LTL/FTL) services to potential clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to build long-term relationships with clients. You will work closely with the operations, transportation and logistics teams to ensure the smooth execution of client orders and maintain customer satisfaction.

Main Duties & Responsabilities

Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the LTL and FTL trucking market.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, and logistics decision-makers.
Assess customer shipping needs and recommend tailored solutions to optimize transportation efficiency and costs.
Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements with clients.

Prepare and submit proposals, quotes, and RFP responses.
Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to recommend new service offerings.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, while maintaining high customer satisfaction and retention.

Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools.
Support onboarding of new accounts, ensuring operational requirements are clearly documented.
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to grow market presence.
Perform other duties as assigned by management related to sales and business development.

Education/Qualification & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Proven sales experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation, specifically within the LTL and FTL trucking market.
Strong understanding of LTL and FTL trucking operations, including freight management, route planning, shipping processes, and related software/tools.

Experience with warehousing, inventory management, order processing, and end-to-end supply chain solutions is an asset.
Demonstrated ability to develop new business, negotiate contracts, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a client-focused mindset.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross functional teams.
Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and transportation management software.
